Nashville— More than 80 golfers joined together for Prevent Blindness Tennessee’s 24th Annual Swing for Sight Golf Classic to increase awareness of eye health in an effort to decrease preventable blindness, and to benefit programs that provide vision health services to uninsured Tennesseans. The event was held at the Hermitage Golf Course with the support of corporate sponsors including Alexander’s Catering, Ajax Turner, Cornea Consultants of Nashville, CORT, and Lexus of Nashville.

"In 2006-07, PBT reached more than 200,000 individuals in at-risk communities across the state through programs that provide vision screenings, eyeglasses, and eye health education to children and seniors in need," said Donna Miller, PBT President and CEO. "Supporters of Swing for Sight help make these vital resources available for people when they need them most."

In addition to the golf tournament, PBT conducted a statewide Charity Raffle for cash prizes up to $10,000. The winners of the raffle drawing are as follows:
1st Place for $5,000- Nursing Home Eye Care
2nd Place for $3,500- Rick Hart (donated prize to PBT)
3rd Place for $1,500- Williamson County CASA
