

On October 8, 2008, the Illinois Vision Coalition will host its first symposium, Common Eye Problems. This is an educational seminar targeting consumers, public health workers, and direct service or social service organizations whose employees may work with individuals with vision issues. Topics will include an introduction to vision and eye health, children’s diseases, adult diseases, vision and driving, safety and contact lenses.
The event will be held at the Abraham Lincoln Library in Springfield, Illinois from 9 am to 4 pm. Admission is free and open to the general public. A continental breakfast and box lunch will be provided to attendees. Registration is required to attend and will be available on-line in mid summer.
