Prevent Blindness Tri-State is a member of the PBA (Prevent Blindness America) family. In April of 2004, PB Connecticut merged with PB New Jersey and PB New York, to become the first Tri-State PBA affiliate.
In addition to the decades of local support the combined Tri-State has provided, Prevent Blindness America will celebrate its one hundred year Centennial in 2008.

Healthy Eyes for Kids
Provides vision screening, eye exams, glasses, and other vision services for low income children to help prevent permanent vision loss and learning difficulties.
Eye on Your Vision
Provide information, education, screening, referral and follow-up for low income, older adults / age 65+ to prevent permanent vision loss and reduced quality of life.
WorkSight
Provide eye health and safety information, education, training, and vision screening on-site for employees to help prevent vision loss due to illness or injury.
Advocacy
- Raise awareness for legislators and public officials of the emotional, physical, and economic impact of vision loss.
- Promote action and awareness on vision issues and concerns at the local, state, and national level.
The PBTS senior management team, with (6) full time and (14) part time staff, is well balanced in talents and experience and is supported by a qualified Board of Directors.
PBTS also has a dedicated network of volunteers serving on councils, committees, taskforces, and in direct service capacities.
