DESCRIPTION:Children’s eye and vision health has been a critical part of the Prevent Blindness mission since our founding in 1908. That’s why we’re proud to be partnering with the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) to promote World Sight Day\, 10 October 2024\, which will highlight the importance of prioritizing children’s eye health. \n\n		\n	\n\n	\n		\n			Prevent Blindness World Sight Day activities are supported by funding from Amgen and Astellas. \n\n		\n	\n \nCoordinated by the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) under the Love Your Eyes campaign banner\, World Sight Day 2024 is putting children at the center of the campaign.  \nWorld Sight Day Events and Activities\nPrevent Blindness and its affiliates will be conducting a number of activities in September and October leading up to World Sight Day on October 10\, 2024. \nVision Screening and Eye Health Education Event\nWashington\, D.C.\nThursday\, September 12\nin the Rayburn Foyer\, 9am – 3pm \nChildren’s Vision and Eye Health Congressional Briefing\nWashington\, D.C.\nThursday\, September 12\nin Rayburn 2044\, 11:30am – 1pm \nIf you would like to attend either or both events in Washington\, D.C. on September 12\, please RSVP: \nRegister to Attend
