Prevent Blindness has chosen Sue Downes, CEO at MyEyeDr., as the recipient of the 2018 Prevent Blindness Person of Vision Award. The award will be presented on March 15, 2018, at the Prevent Blindness Person of Vision Dinner at the Lotte New York Palace, New York City, in conjunction with Vision Expo East. All proceeds from the event will go to support the sight-saving programs from Prevent Blindness.
The Prevent Blindness Person of Vision Award recognizes an individual or organization whose inspired outlook champions healthy vision and its importance for a healthy life.
From one office in 2001, Sue Downes has led the growth of MyEyeDr. brand to over 300 locations across the Mid-Atlantic and southeast, with newer locations in Connecticut and Illinois. And more practices are joining every month .
