I do not have coverage for vision services. How can I access eye care?

If you do not have health insurance or vision insurance, there are still a number of programs and resources that can help you to get free or reduced cost eye exams, eyeglasses, surgeries, and medicines.

Community Health Centers

Many community clinics or school-based health centers offer vision screening, eye exams, and glasses on a sliding fee scale based on income.

Organizations such as Lions Clubs, school nurses (for your child’s eye care), cultural organizations, and churches may be able to help. Your local 211 listing may offer community resources as well
