Health education lessons and activities are adapted from evidence-based content belonging to the Prevent Blindness Star Pupils Eye Health and Safety Curriculum and Small Steps for Big Vision: An Eye Health Tool Kit for Parents and Caregivers.

Books are referenced that created inspiration for the following content focused on the eye. This lesson focuses on eye function and children wearing solar eclipse glasses.

Prevent Blindness thanks the Delta Gamma Foundation for its generous support for the development of the solar eclipse educational materials. This work is also supported by a Jay M. Pasachoff Solar Eclipse Mini-Grant from the American Astronomical Society’s Solar Eclipse Task Force, which is in turn supported by the National Science Foundation under Award No. 2318745.
