NCCVEH Hosts Back to School Webinar on Sensory Screenings

 Webinar reaches hundreds of early childhood education providers

NCCVEH presented on children’s and vision and eye health for over 300 participants on July 29, 2019.  The webinar, Implementing Evidence-Based Hearing and Vision Screening Practices for Children Birth through 5 Years of Age, was hosted by the NCCVEH in partnership with the Early Childhood Hearing Outreach (ECHO) Initiative and the National Center on Early Childhood Health and Wellness.

The webinar presented currently recommended evidence-based hearing and vision early detection practices for children birth through 5 years of age. The webinar also explored resources that are available to help early childhood programs plan sensory screening activities, access training, and where to find other tools to implement follow-up activities.
