Prevent Blindness and Horizon Therapeutics plc, will be hosting a free vision screening and eye health educational event as part of World Sight Day activities. World Sight Day, coordinated by the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), aims to raise awareness of blindness and vision impairment as major global public health and development issues.
On Sept. 30, ticketholders are encouraged to visit the Horizon mobile exhibit stationed at Gallagher Way adjacent to Wrigley Field during the game, to learn more about vision health. Prevent Blindness will offer certified vision screenings and educational materials on a variety of eye health topics, including cataract, glaucoma, diabetes-related eye disease, Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) and age-related macular degeneration.
