Prevent Blindness and Horizon Therapeutics plc, will be hosting a free vision screening and eye health educational event on World Sight Day. World Sight Day, coordinated by the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), is an annual day of awareness designed to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment.
On Oct. 13, ticketholders to the Chicago Bears game are encouraged to visit the Horizon mobile exhibit stationed at the Bears Fan Zone, adjacent to Soldier field, to learn more about vision health. Prevent Blindness will offer certified vision screenings and educational materials on a variety of eye health topics, including cataract, glaucoma, diabetes-related eye disease, Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) and age-related macular degeneration.
