The National Center for Children’s Vision and Eye Health and the work of the National Expert Panel was introduced to two key audiences- pediatric providers and public health professionals- via their national conventions in October. The Center presented a poster at the American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference and Exhibition in New Orleans, LA on October 20, 2012 as a part of the Council on School Health Program Abstract Session.

The Center also had two presentations directly related to our work at the American Public Health Association National Conference in San Francisco, CA.  Sandy Block, OD presented “Integration of screening and outcome data into existing state surveillance systems.”  Additionally, Kira Baldonado presented on the development of the Center, its leadership and goals for children’s vision as a part of the Vision Care Section’s “Children’s Vision and Eye Care Needs” on October 30, 2012.

All of the presentations an a copy of the poster are available in the ‘Publications and Presentations’ section of the website.
