New Study Details Economic Burden of Vision Loss

According to a new study just published in the journal Ophthalmology, the economic burden of vision loss and eye disorders among the U.S. population younger than 40 years of age was $27.5 billion in 2012 (this represents $5.9 billion for children and $21.6 billion for adults aged 18-39).  http://www.aaojournal.org/article/S0161-6420(13)00114-0/abstract
